Chariz Solomon On Milk Oversupply: 'Hindi Ko Alam Saan Hinuhugot Ng Katawan Ko Yang Gatas'

One of the many struggles of a breastfeeding mama is low milk supply. Not Chariz Solomon, though. She recently donated a second batch of breast milk and her newborn isn't even a month old yet.

The TV host and comedienne gave birth to her third son, Andreas, on October 2, 2020. "Maliit lang ang BM (breast milk) freezer ko kaya dapat tuloy tuloy ang turnover," she responded in the comments. 

Chariz's secret to overflowing milk supply

Chariz produces so much milk that she has built up her stash by collecting her let-downs as she feeds her son. What's her secret? She revealed there is none.

"Waley. Talagang malalang oversupply case lang talaga. Hindi ko na alam saan hinuhugot ng katawan ko yang gatas na yan," Chariz quipped.

She does consume galactagogues or lactation food based on her Instagram posts, such as lactation coffee and sandwich spreads. Plus, she does direct latching with her newborn a lot. 

But the mom of three revealed that having an oversupply of breast milk does have its setbacks, such as having milk lumps every day. Chariz also couldn't do other breastfeeding positions except for sitting up, or her let-down catcher would spill her precious liquid gold. 

"Yung likod ko, ugat ugat na ata hindi ako talaga masyado makahiga," Chariz shared.
