Chynna Ortaleza clarifies postpartum baby blues
The Kapuso actress said she came to the decision to go back to work when she felt comfortable to leave her daughter Stella to her grandparents. But she admitted she would still cry to her husband Kean Cipriano and missed being with her daughter.
"Sabi ni Kean, 'Okey ka pa rin ba talaga? Postpartum pa ba 'yan?'" the first time mom recalled. Chynna shrugged off the experience and clarified that postpartum depression (PPD) is a condition that needs to be diagnosed. "Hindi ko masabi na nag-postpartum depression ako. Hindi ko naman na-feel na papatayin ko ang anak ko. Di ba, ganun yun?" she explained. “Iyak-iyak lang, naawa sa sarili, kung ano-ano ang naiisip. Feeling ko, parang...wala na akong time magbasa, yun! Yung ganun lang," Chynna stressed.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

And thanks to husband Dingdong Dantes, we were able to see how much fun it was especially for Baby Zia. "My favorite photo of the Gracia family taken in Granada, Spain. Thank you very much, papa @javiergraciaa, @meire_martinelli, Sheily, Elizabeth, and Javier Jr. for being with us during our last final meaningful days in Spain. Hasta luego!" he wrote as a caption for one of the photos. (gmanetwork.com)

Small children can longer ride motorcycles, starting May 19
Republic Act No. 10666, or the Children's Safety on Motorcycles Act, was signed into law in 2015 but it will be implemented starting Friday, May 19. According to the law's Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), only children whose feet can reach the foot peg and can fully wrap their arms around the rider's waist are allowed. It goes without saying that children who are allowed to ride motorcycles should wear protective gear. The law also prohibits children from sitting in front of the rider, except when the rider is transporting a child who requires medical attention. Violators will be fined P3,000 for the first offense and P5,000 for a second offense. For the third offense, the penalty is a fine of P10,000 and a one-month suspension of the rider's license. Succeeding violations will mean the automatic revocation of the rider's license. (topgear.com.ph)
House Committee approved proposal for four-day work week
The bill proposing a four-day workweek has moved forward in the House of Representative. House Bill 5068, which lengthens the numbers of work hours per day but reduces the work days in a week, was unanimously approved by the House Committee on Labor and Employment. According to Representative Mark Go, who authored the bill, employees would be "entitled to an additional one or two rest days apart from the given normal rest day depending on the compressed work schedule as determined by the employer." He also proposed having more flexible "hours of work compatible with business requirements and the employees’ need for balanced work-life." Note, however, that the four-day work week, if passed into law, will only be voluntary. (gmanetwork.com)ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
