LOOK: The Lion King's Rafiki Helps With Family's Gender Reveal at Disney Park

A family taking their daughter to Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom for the first time made the trip extra special with a gender reveal played out by Rafiki of The Lion King on July 7.

This video shows Rafiki raising up a Nala doll, indicating to Paisley that her mom was pregnant with a girl. In The Lion King, Rafiki is known for lifting up and presenting newborn cubs – most notably Simba – to the other animals.

The video shows Paisley jumping up and down with excitement as Rafiki raises the doll and her mom, Rachel Craig, shouts “It’s a girl!”

Craig said she got engaged at Cinderella’s Castle at Disney’s Magic Kingdom several years ago and wanted to “keep with the tradition.”

“The Disney crew was wonderful in helping us pull it off, and well, I think Paisley’s expression says it all that it was perfect and we are very excited to add another princess come November,” Craig said.
