What are you thankful for the most during Christmas? Is it being with family? Receiving presents? How about the opportunity to save the life of an ailing patient in the Philippine General Hospital (PGH)?
This December 2012, get into the spirit of giving with the whole family and put your money in an event that will benefit charity organization,Sagip Buhay, as Don Henrico’s, family-friendly casual Italian restaurant, helps save lives with its marathon named the “Don Henrico’s Run: Help Save A Life Today”. Proceeds will go to medications for our less fortunate brothers and sisters admitted at the Medicine Wards and ICUs of the Philippine General Hospital in Manila.
The event will take place in CCP Complex, Pasay City on December 17, 2011 and will feature 3K, 5K, and 10K races. Interested participants can register at all Don Henrico’s outlets in Metro Manila from October 25 to December 15, 2011. For a registration fee of P600, runners will be entitled to a race kit that includes a singlet, a bib number, and an exclusive Don Henrico’s event shirt.

“What a better way to celebrate the Christmas season than to do something you love at the income of those in need,” says Anthony Mercado, Business Development and Corporate Marketing Manager of Don Henrico’s Pizza Foods Corporation.
Cash prizes will be given to the top placers for all three categories – P5,000 for the winner of the 10K race, P4,000 for the winner of the 5K race, and P3,000 for the winner of the 3K race. Cash prizes are also in line for 2nd and 3rd placers in each category.
Proceeds for this event will help provide assistance to our country’s hardworking healthcare professionals in aiding lives. But more than anything is the idea of a simple sport like bringing hope to those struggling with disease, alleviating the burdens of the patients and their families.
