‘You’re Stronger Than Me, Really,’ Doug Pays Tribute To Chesca On Son’s Birthday"Every time we celebrate our children’s birthdays, I celebrate also a successful pregnancy and delivery,” says Doug.by Maika Bernardo .
In most cases, birthdays are always about the one born more than the one who gave birth. Doug Kramer, however, recently reminded us that mothers should also be celebrated in every birthday because their strength to survive the birthing process is in itself a miracle.
In case you missed it, the bunso of Team Kramer, Gavin, just turned nine last January 15. They had an al fresco dinner at home for the birthday boy, a low-key party in pambahay. Check out the grown-up table setup:
Gavin may be a big kid now, but it seems his dad can still carry him as effortlessly as when he was just baby. Doug recreated a photo of him carrying the newborn Gavin and wrote a sweet birthday message to his son on Instagram: “You’re courageous, hardworking, very sympathetic; [you] hardly complain, are a respectful little brother and a son who trusts and loves to obey papa and mama...”ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
And it gets even sweeter. Before posting his birthday greeting to their son, Doug pays tribute to his wife of 13 years, Chesca: “First, I [want to] show love and appreciation to my wife. Every time we celebrate our children’s birthdays, I celebrate also a successful pregnancy and delivery.”CONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos
Doug recounts the sacrifices Chesca made: three pregnancies in five years, two of which (with Scarlett and Gavin) were back-to-back. He mentions that she delivered all three kids via C-section because of complications.
“You’re stronger than me, really,” Doug says to Chesca in an Instagram post.“So today as I celebrate our baby boy’s birthday, I [want to] thank you, honey, for blessing me with my little man: my son that will try to imitate me every day, and the one who will carry our last name.”
When a woman has to give birth via C-section, she faces serious risks. Some possible infections include wound infection, postpartum hemorrhage, and blood clots. Repeated C-section also ups your chances of getting placental problems and uterus rupture in your succeeding pregnancies.
Like many moms, Chesca shows she’s both strong and sweet. In her own birthday message to her unico hijo, she says: “You bless my life more than you will ever know just by witnessing the purity of your soul. You’re kind and compassionate. You’re sweet, gentle, and understanding..."
"As you grow up may you never lose yourself to the world, but instead, my prayer is for you to always walk in God’s path. May you always have that childlike faith wherever you go, my boy.”ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
