Ellie remains the top priority of her mom Andi Eigenmann, who is currently pregnant with her second child.
Addressing questions about what Ellie thinks of their current set-up with her mom's new boyfriend and father of her unborn sibling, Andi happily replied that Ellie approves of professional surfer Philmar Alipayo.
Andi said she would have been ready to give up Philmar if Ellie did not approve of him, but was surprised to see the two hit it off immediately.
“I was so surprised, kasi hindi ko naman ipipilit ’yong mga tao [kay Ellie], e. Actually pagka sinabi niya, halimbawa five months in, matagal na ’yon into being in a relationship with Philmar ’tapos sinabi niyang ayaw niya [kay Philmar]... di bye! I’m sorry, goodbye.”
She said she would choose Ellie's happiness over her own, if it came to that.
“Like yes, I’m gonna be heartbroken and sad, but Ellie is my priority. But at the same time, hindi ko ipipilit na tanggapin niya or mamahalin niya kasi labas na ’yon ng relationship namin, e,”

“Kasi si Philmar, very open lang rin and simple kasi. Wala siyang restrictions na parang, ‘O, baka isipin mo Dad ako.’ Hindi. No fuss lang. Parang, ‘Okay, I’m gonna play with you if you want me to, but I won’t force it if you don’t want me to.’ Gano’n sila.”

In fact, the 7-year-old was excited at the prospect of spending more time with her mom and Philmar, Andi recalls. Philmar once made a joke about staying with them in Manila, and Ellie seemed to like the idea.
"Sabi ni Ellie ‘Yehey! We’re always gonna have a funny man in the house! And there’s someone who’s going to play with me when Mom is being boring!"
The actress revealed that Ellie, her daughter with ex-boyfriend Jake Ejercito, has been wanting to have a sibling. “I want another kid and Ellie has been asking and asking, so I thought, ‘if it happens, it’s okay,'” Andi said. She even revealed in an earlier interview that Ellie had wanted twin baby girls for siblings!
Andi announced on February 1 that she was 14 weeks pregnant with her second child — another baby girl, based on the gender-reveal party held on March 9. She is due to give birth in July.
