As we celebrate Emergency Medicine Week this April 12-17, take the chance to learn life-saving skills such as CPR and get to meet real-life rescuers on first aid treatment.
April 12 to 17, 2010 is Emergency Medicine Week. First celebrated in 1992 after then-President Corazon Aquino signed Proclamation No. 892, Emergency Medicine Week became an annual event following Proclamation No. 166 signed by former President Fidel Ramos in 1993.
Emergency Medicine Week will open with a Mass CPR and Static Display by various Rescue Units on April 12, 2010 6AM-9AM at the Quezon City Circle (near Kampo Uno and the Soccer Field). This event, hosted by the Philippine Association of Emergency Medical Services Personnel (PAEMSP), will enable the public to learn Adult CPR and talk to real life rescuers about what to do when emergencies strike.
