  • On Monday, October 12, 2020, Erika Padilla shared an update on her postpartum journey. She started at 180 pounds before giving birth to her second child, daughter, Estelle Gloria. Now, Erika is 34 pounds lighter, and she hasn’t even started exercising yet.

    How Erika Padilla is losing the pregnancy weight without exercise

    The mom of two is not able to do workouts yet since she delivered her daughter via C-section. Typically, doctors advise to wait at least six weeks, but that will still vary on the mom’s postpartum recovery. She previously mentioned that wearing workout clothes helps her lose weight. Below are some more tips from Erika:

    • Drinking plenty of water. The fit mama says it helps flush out excess water in the body.
    • Taking lots of fruits and vegetables, natural sources of vitamin C to promote healing
    • Breastfeeding and pumping milk six to eight times a day. It is known to help the uterus go back to it’s pre-pregnant size. 
    • Maintaining a good posture, according to Erika, burns extra calories and activates the core muscles.
    • Eating chocolates just because it makes her happy!

    Aside from help from Aya and Cherry, Erika also shared how she stays on top of her postpartum weight loss journey, caring for her two kids, and managing the home. For starters, she credits discipline, good time management, having focus, and positivity.

    The mom of two has a schedule she tries to stick to and does tasks one at a time to concentrate on each of them and not waste precious time. She does what she can and doesn’t complain.
