  • Former PBB housemate's newborn recovering from surgery

Yesterday, June 12, Wendy took to Instagram to ask for prayers as her first baby boy underwent surgery to remove a cyst at the bottom of his spine (the sacral region). Seth was diagnosed with spina bifida (it literally means “split spine”), which happens when a baby is in the womb and the spinal column does not close all of the way, according to the Spina Bifida Association; it is also one of the most serious neural tube defects. But children with this birth defect can live full lives. (Just yesterday, we wrote about Grace Theresa Agalo-os, 23, who was born with spina bifida and graduated from a New York college.)

"Thank you, Lord, that I am finally able to hold my son," former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate Wendy Valdez Garcia wrote on Instagram. "Soon, makakauwi din tayo, anak," she added. Her son's operation went well, as doctors continue to monitor his recovery. "Hindi na mabigat ang likod ni Sethy," Wendy happily shared on the photo-sharing social media platform.

Amidst the trying times, Wendy and her family choose to be positive and hold on to the Lord. "We chose to be excited, and I chose to enjoy my pregnancy after we have surrendered everything to the Lord. Not because everything is going to be alright and perfect in the end, but because I know that our perfect God is always on our side, in whatever comes our way," she added. Get well soon, baby Seth!

LJ Moreno and Jimmy Alapag's baby #3 is a boy!

The prayers of LJ's son have been answered. "Ian Maximus got his wish because it's confirmed. We're having a boy!" the soon to be mom of three announced on Instagram. According to LJ, daughter Keona Sky though was still in denial because she really wanted a baby girl. "I'm sure once she sees her baby brother she'll be excited!" she said. LJ and husband, former professional basketball player Jimmy Alapag, also posted his wife's post on his Instagram and added that they are now thinking of a name for their third baby, due to arrive in October.
