Gabby is heading to the big screen for her first movie adventure. Since 2021, kids have followed her on Netflix’s Gabby’s Dollhouse and the spinoff Gabby & Friends.

The series, created by Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey, combines live-action, animation, and music. Every episode begins with Gabby unboxing a surprise that magically shrinks her into the dollhouse, where she and her cat friends set off on colorful adventures.

This September, the story continues with Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie.

Gabby’s First Big-Screen Adventure

In the movie, Gabby goes on a road trip with Grandma Gigi, voiced by Grammy winner Gloria Estefan. Their fun takes a turn when the dollhouse rolls away and lands in the hands of Vera, an eccentric “cat lady” voiced by Kristen Wiig. To get it back, Gabby must bring her friends together for a rescue mission.

Laila Lockhart Kraner returns as Gabby in both live-action and animated form. The cast also includes comedians Ego Nwodim, Kyle Mooney, and Melissa Villaseñor from Saturday Night Live, Jason Mantzoukas (Invincible), Fortune Feimster (Velma), and Emmy nominee Thomas Lennon (Reno 911).

According to Nielsen’s 2024 streaming rankings, Gabby’s Dollhouse was the ninth most-streamed original series of the year, with viewers watching over 10.7 billion minutes. Its success has led to theme park attractions, live shows, and immersive play experiences.

Now, kids can watch Gabby, Pandy Paws, CatRat, Cakey, DJ Catnip, Baby Box, MerCat, and the rest of the Gabby Cats take on a brand-new adventure.
