Gavin Kramer is Taking Ballet Lessons: 'It's Not Just For Girls!' Says Dad DougGavin is inspired by Spider-Man actor Tom Holland, who also took ballet lessons when he was young.by Rachel Perez .
If we preach to young girls that they can be anything they want to be when they grow up, it seems only fair to give young boys the same opportunities. Teaching kids to see break stereotypes and see beyond gender starts at home, so it's beautiful to see Team Kramer leading a good example.
Last week, Doug and Chesca Kramer's youngest child, son Gavin, started ballet classes. He joined his sister Scarlett's class, and he is the only boy but didn't mind it at all.
"Ballet is not just for girls, okay. It's not just for girls," he professional basketball player and dad of three stressed in a video uploaded on Team Kramer's Facebook page last October 3, 2019. "It's for flexibility; it's for posture. That's why Gavin wanted to join it," he explained.
The youngest Kramer is interested in pursuing mixed martial arts. He's taking taekwondo, which is his class before ballet, and the little boy believes the latter can help him be more flexible and with discipline.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWCONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos
Gavin was also encouraged knowing that the British actor Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Belgian actor and retired martial artist Jean-Claude Van Damme also took ballet when they were young.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Doug and Chesca didn't need to convince Gavin to take ballet. "He made the decision all on his own, and we supported it," read the caption for the video. He "loved every minute" of his taekwondo and ballet classes.
"Gavin is so confident in himself, I love it!" the dad of three is heard saying in the video, giving his only son all-out support in taking ballet lessons.
"The only boy in class, but he has no problem with that!" mom Chesca shared in her Instagram Stories last week. "Love the confidence of my little boy!" she added.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
The mom of three also shared videos as an Instagram post and praise her son. "I love you, my Gavin! I love that you love what you're doing. I love how decided you are. I love how you don't care what others might say. I love how confident you are of yourself," Chesca wrote.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
"From Taekwondo to Ballet! To me, you're the coolest boy I have ever met!" she exclaimed! Chesca seems to be on track in raising a not a boy but a "loving husband, a devoted, father, and a man who fears God.'
And it's not a trial class. Just yesterday, October 17, 2019, Doug shared new snippets from Gavin and Scarlett's ballet class (Ate Kendra is on a different ballet class) on his Instagram Stories.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
"We love you, Gavin! We're behind you all the way!" read the caption for a new video uploaded on October 17, 2019, on Team Kramer's Facebook page.
