'These Trolls Are Sad People': Geneva Cruz Shuts Down Basher Who Called Her The 'Ugliest' Cruz"Walang pangit sa pamilya ko. Walang pangit na tao. Sa ugali lang ang may pangit."
At this point, we've pretty much established that Geneva Cruz is the queen of internet troll takedowns. Her epic responses to body-shaming and ageist comments months ago still live in our minds rent-free.
Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to deter the trolls from leaving more negative comments on her page.
Just recently, Geneva shut down a comment comparing the 45-year-old performer's looks to her fellow celebrity cousins. She didn't let this one pass, teaching the user a lesson for all her followers to see.
The user left the comment on Geneva's Instagram, and it was filled with negative remarks about her. They called her the "ugliest" out of the Cruz cousins and even mentioned her relationships.
"Pinaka-panget talaga tong [si] geneva sa magpipinsan pero [siya] pa nakarami ng julake while donna ang ganda na matino pa," it reads.
The famous Cruz cousins include Geneva, Donna Cruz, Sunshine Cruz, and Sheryl Cruz. The four are known actresses and singers, and just last year, they held an online reunion and performed song covers that were shot remotely.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Geneva replied to the comment an hour later, telling the user, "LOL ganda mo kasi. Wag ka maiinggit, that's gonna make you uglier. Oh, you sound like a complete idiot. Take care."
She then called the netizen out on her Instagram stories and Facebook page to condemn their behavior. "First of all...Walang pangit sa pamilya ko. Walang pangit na tao. Ugali mo ang pangit, which makes you...pangit. You need a hug."CONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos
After posting the comment, Geneva's followers left a ton of support in the comments section, which she eagerly thanked them for. That said, the singer notes that what the user said she was not a big deal for her.
She writes, "I'm not affected sa sinabi nya, I love how I look, and I'm comfortable in my skin. Gusto ko lang sya i-highlight since yun ang gusto nya... 'ATTENTION.' Hehe! I can't with these bullies; sometimes, they need a dose of their own medicine to know they are making themselves look like complete fools at hindi cute ang ganong attitude kahit fake accounts pa sila."
"The decisions we make every day are a reflection of our values. They are pitiful but still very changeable. Pwede pa sila magbago. Lahat naman tayo nag-kakamali. Since page ko ito, may right akong pagsabihan sila."
In a separate comment, the singer offered advice on how to deal with trolls online. She also further explained why she gave attention to the negativity when many stars would usually opt to ignore them.
"I post some people's rudeness like this on here to show people what they can do," explains Geneva. "Bullies are the worst! I want you all guys to know that there are three things you can do: 1. Block. 2. Ignore and Erase. 3. Give him/her a dose of his/her medicine...but in a witty way.
"These trolls are sad people; they thrive on making other people feel the way they do, so NEVER believe what they say. Their opinions have no weight in our lives."ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

Need we say more? Maybe next time, trolls will think twice before leaving a distasteful comment on Geneva's page. She's always watching!
