Gretchen Barretto takes Dominique's fashion creations to London
Gretchen went shopping and sightseeing with her daughter's latest fashion creations. Dominique posted a snap of her mom wearing a jacket she designed on Instagram and simply captioned it, "La Greta in a jacket by me." Gretchen, however, had a more flashy way of showing how proud she is of her daughter. "Pretending Harrods [luxury department store in London) is my runway... jacket by my little one," she wrote as a caption for a video she posted on Instagram.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWCONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos
So far, Gretchen has worn two of Dominique's creations. One is a bell-sleeved cropped jacket in fuchsia and purple (seen above). Then, in time for lunch, the proud mom changed into a yellow top with cut-out sleeves.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Dominique is in her last year as a fashion design student at the Instituto Marangoni London. Last Mother's Day, the 22-year-old posted a tribute to her mom. "As I embark on my last few days of my degree, my mum has reminded me to embrace fear as something positive. She is the most brilliant woman I know," the budding fashion designer wrote. (pep.ph)
BPI still fixing accounts that still reflect incorrect amountsADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
After assuring clients that access to automated teller machines and online banking has been restored last night, June 7, the Bank of the Philippines Islands (BPI) has once again suspended activation for its electronic channels. The bank's branches, however, will extend operating hours. BPI's latest statement read: "Clients will continue to be serviced by our branches, which will be open until 7:30 pm today. Furthermore, our other banking systems, such as credit cards, remittance, SWIFT, equities brokerage (BPI Trade), investments, and loans remain operational." The bank also assured clients that the internal issue would be resolved and that integrity of the accounts will be maintained. The internal error was reported to be a glitch in the system that resulted in errors in transaction postings for accounts, causing people to lose money or have increased balances in their BPI accounts. BPI assured clients that their money remains intact with the bank. (entreprenuer.com.ph)ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

New bill seeks nationwide curfew for minors
Quezon 4th District Representative Helen Tan proposed a bill that would impose a curfew for all kids aged 17 and younger. House Bill No. 894, or otherwise known as the "Disciplinary Hours for Minors Act," does not allow minors to roam or loiter unchaperoned outside of their homes from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. "Aware naman tayo na ang kabataan nagagamit in criminal acts so technically ‘yun ‘yung intention natin to prevent these children to engage sa mga ganoong gawain and at the same time their safety," Tan explained to ABS-CBN News. Some towns and cities already have a curfew ordinance in place, but Tan believes it's time to enact it nationwide. Children who would be caught out and about during curfew hours would have to undergo counseling with their parents or guardians (first offense), community service (second offense). A third offense would have the child's parents pay a fine or face jail time.
However, Elizabeth Ampong of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Police Community Relations deputy director Chief Supt. Ericson Velasquez both aired their reservations about the proposed measure. Lawmakers have yet to figure out who gets custody of the kids in case they get caught for the third time, and their parents or guardians would be apprehended.
