His job may require him to be tough, but PNP Chief Ronaldo 'Bato' dela Rosa definitely has a soft side, as exhibited during President Rody Duterte's first State of the Nation Address (SONA) yesterday. While inspecting the perimeter of the Batasang Pambansa, dela Rosa's attention was caught by an eight-year-old water vendor who tripped and fell on the ground amidst the crowds gathered in the area. Today, July 26, Museo Pambata will open a new career corner within the Paglaki Ko/Career Options theme room. The “Paglaki Ko Gusto Ko Maging Manunulat at Ilustrador Para sa Kabataan” theme room will now include the storytellers or “kuwentista” as a career option.Set to become a favorite spot for children to listen to stories, or share their own tales and ideas, the area includes a storytelling stage, a mirror wall where children can practice different facial expressions, a big book which tells kids how to use their voices in effective storytelling, and a viewing area where one can listen to stories as told by featured storytellers JK Anicoche, Rey Bufi, Charlot Cachuela, Zarah Gagatiga, Mars Mercado, and “Kuya Bodjie” Pascua.
Museo Pambata has six other theme rooms with hands-on educational exhibits namely Old Manila, Environment, Children in the Global Village, I Love My Planet Earth, My Body Works, and Marketplace.
Museo Pambata is located along Roxas Boulevard corner South Drive, Manila and is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm; and on Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
