Today, July 19, actress Isabelle Daza shared on Instagram for the first time a close-up photo of her firstborn, and revealed the name she and husband Adrien Semblat have chosen for him. Say hello to Balthazar Gabriel Daza Semblat!
"'A child should not have to earn their parents’ love. He should rest in it.' You can rest in my love, Baltie," the new mom wrote as a caption for a very adorable photo of her little man.
Isabelle gave birth to their first child on April 1 via an emergency C-section. We saw the healthy baby boy for the time on April 4, when Isabelle shared his first photo on Instagram.
Isabelle shared via Instagram Stories why it took her three months to "launch" her little Baltie (or Baltieboo!). "I don't know why but I felt so instantly protective when he was born, like I wanted to shelter him from the world. At the same time, so much of my life is out there," the new mom explained.
"I wanted to keep these first few months with him to myself, like keeping these moments precious," she added. Isabelle went on to offer a few reasons behind her decision. One of them is because he was so tiny when he was born.
A few other reasons Isabelle put forward involved the nature of social media. "Maybe because I was so scared he would be judged by how he looked. Maybe it's 'cause I wasn't ready to face the world with how I looked," she wrote. "Maybe it's 'cause I wanted to get the perfect photo," Isabelle added.
"Maybe because he hadn't met my dad yet," the actress said. On July 14, on her dad's second death anniversary, Isabelle introduced her son to his namesake, Gabriel "Bong" Daza. "I wanted to be reminded of him every day, so my husband named our son after him," she shared.

Isabelle continued to list the reasons why she hasn't shared her son's photo until now. "Maybe because I want him to have a choice. Maybe it's cause after I show him that's it, the world will 'own him,'" she mused.

The new mom also confessed that maybe she was overthinking the whole thing and that there is really no perfect time to introduce her son. And so Isabelle shared Baltie's first photo, and he's just too cute for words!
