The road back to a pre-pregnant woman’s body can be challenging, even for women who have always been active like Iya Villania. Four months after giving birth to her daughter, Alana, she still has some work to do.
“Currently at 58.4 kilograms. About 1.5 kilograms away from my pre-pregnancy weight with Alana,” Iya wrote on Instagram.
“FYI, I was 52 kilograms pre-Primo! So I gained a permanent 2kg with each kid,” she revealed. Primo is her and Drew Arellano's first child; Leon is their second son.
The Mars Pa More co-host is hoping to get back to 54 kilograms this time. So I still have a fair way to go. Am I gonna get there? Who knows! But I’m gonna try!” she added.
Iya says she needed help to modify her postpartum diet
Not everyone loves to workout, but don’t worry. Diet is also a factor in losing the pregnancy weight. Iya reveals her postpartum weight loss journey was stuck at one point, and a change of diet did the trick.
“I reached a plateau awhile back. I was stuck at 62kgs. It wasn’t until I changed a few things with my eating when I started to see change again,” the mom of three shared.
Iya continued, “Working out isn’t a problem for me, but the eating is a challenge coz this mama loves her sweets and bread!” If you follow her on Instagram, she often shares food posts on her Instagram Stories.

Since she started 50 days ago, she tries her best to avoid gluten, yeast, refined sugar, and dairy and “can really feel and see the difference.”
Iya has “come a long way from eating a whole slice of cake to just having a bite.”
