Guests at Jennica Uytingco's Baby Shower Felt Like They Were Up in the Clouds

It's the home stretch for the soon-to-be mom of two, and Jennica Garcia-Uytingco and her husband Alwyn Uytingco celebrated it with a simple but full-of-love baby shower 

The Parenting Emporium (TPE), where Jennica holds her parenting classes, hosted the baby shower for the Kalinga ni Nanay founder and speaker last Sunday, June 10 at the Winford Manila Resort and Casino.

Event stylist Beyond The Decor dressed the venue like you were up in the sky with the clouds, moon, and stars. The event was organized by One Tree South with toddler activities set up by Party Kids Station.

Soon-to-be ate Mori Uytingco, Jennica and Alwyn's adorable 3-year-old daughter, was a little shy but enjoyed smiling for the cameras. No announcement was made if she was having a brother or a sister.

Among the guests who braved the rainy weather were doting lola Jean Garcia, Jennica's siblings Kotaro and Jessica, Rufa Mae Quinto and daughter Athena Alexandria, the founders of TPE Beng Feliciano and Maricel Cua, and Jennica's Kalinga ni Nanay and homeschooling friends.

Jennica was emotional at one point. "She broke down before she even finished her speech...just as she was sharing how blessed they were and how everyone in the room was special to them," read TPE's Instagram post. "All she could say was 'thank you,' and truly everyone in that ballroom earlier didn’t need words for they could feel the kindness, positivity, genuineness, and love emanating from this momma the second time around." 

Early in the pregnancy, Jennica was advised to go on bed rest after being diagnosed with threatened abortion in December 2017. Her uterus was contracting even though she didn't feel it, so her doctor asked her to take it easy. It forced her to cancel all her parenting classes.  

Thankfully, the advocate of natural parenting was back on her feet by March. Soon, Jennica, Alwyn, and Ate Mori will be welcoming baby number two!
