Jennica Uytingco Gets Real About Motherhood: 'Pwede Naman Tayo Magkamali'She admitted she felt bad and cried after raising her voice at her panganay Mori.by Rachel Perez .
Being a mom for the first time involves a whole lot of adjustments, starting from pregnancy to giving birth. When you bring your baby home, you then will need to get used to sleepless nights, breastfeeding, and more.
Welcoming baby number two is no different. Even if you're not entirely clueless like your first time, there will still be a lot of adjustments. Now though, you and your partner aren't the only people affected by the changes, but also your older child who may not understand them fully.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
For mom of two Jennica Garcia-Uytingco, it's best to keep it real. The Kalinga ni Nanay founder has always tried to keep her social media posts cheerful because she wanted to spread positive energy. However, after having her second daughter, Alexis Severina, last June 25, she confesses that family life has been far from ideal in the Uytingco household, at least for the time being.
"Since my second child was born, for three straight days, I gave [first daughter, Mori] cereals for breakfast when she is used in eating whole meals that I've supposedly prepared the night before. Hindi ko na magawa," Jennica wrote.
She also said she usually keeps a calm demeanor when communicating with Mori. "But last night, I raised my voice. 'Mori naman, sana makinig ka!'" Jennica shared. She then cried and apologized. "[Mori] is also in transition. I am the adult I should have known," the new mom of two explained.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Jennica also fell asleep breastfeeding her Baby Lexii. While nursing her, she also held a mason jar to catch leaking breast milk on her other breast. "Nalaglag yung mason jar sa mukha ng aking [four-day-old] baby. Thank God, she did not cry and that she is fine," she said in relief. She was so sure the jar hit her baby.
"Inay, okay lang yun na nagkamali ka. Okay lang na minsan gusto mo ikaw naman. Pwede naman tayo magkamali," Jennica said as to why she's admitting to making mistakes. "Wag mo kukumpara yung mga nanay sa social media. Ganon talaga. Gaya ko, ang ipopost ko yung masasaya pero 'di ibig sabihin nun laging masaya. Ganon naman talaga ang buhay," she added.
Unfazed by possible critics after admitting to her mommy mistakes, Jennica firmly believes that her faith will steer her back in the right direction. After all, every parent only really wants what's best for her children.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
"By being able to demonstrate saintly patience in the household so that our family will see Christ in us," she said. Let's just hold on to eternity and God's promises para hindi tayo mawala ng landas. Bilib ako sa iyo inay! Mabuhay ka!"
