Jolina's Daughter Vika Turns One! 'Ipinagdasal Ka Namin'Jolina is beyond grateful for Vika, and all the "bonuses" they received on the sideby Lei Dimarucut-Sison .
"The days are long, but the years are short," so goes a famous line about how quickly time seems to fly when you have a child. It's something any parent can surely relate to.
It wasn't too long ago when followers of TV host and actress Jolina Magdangal happily awaited the arrival of her second child with husband Mark Escueta, and on May 28, 2018, their healthy baby girl Vika Anaya was born via Cesarean section.
Yesterday, May 28, 2019, the Escuetas marked the 1st birthday of Vika with a simple celebration. But what made it memorable was Jolina's heartfelt message for her daughter, which she shared on Instagram.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

"Dear Vika, ipinagdasal ka namin anak...at ibinigay ka sa amin ni God at madami pa syang bonus na binigay. Dinagdagan mo ng kulay ang makulay na mundong binigay sa amin ni Kuya Pele," she captioned a photo of their little one seated beside a big birthday cake.
During her second pregnancy, Jolina did reveal to Pep.ph that she and Mark had been planning since 2017 to give their eldest, son Pele Iñigo, a sibling. It didn't seem feasible yet at the time, but through busy schedules and a project that was later shelved, plans for Baby number 2 pushed through.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Jolina confessed, too, that she wanted a baby so much that she started behaving as if she were already pregnant. She took care of her body and ate to nourish herself and the baby. She also religiously monitored her ovulation period with a fertility tracker.
You know what came next. In September 2017, she went to see her doctor fully convinced she was already with a baby, following a light bleeding episode. One week later, she would take a home pregnancy test which showed a faint second line, confirming that there was, indeed, a bun in the oven.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Her birthday message for Vika continues with "Pangako na mamahalin ka namin at aalagaan habangbuhay. Magkaibang magkaiba kayo ni Kuya Pele kaya mas naging exciting ang buhay namin ni Papa mo. Napakasarap maging nanay! Happy 1st birthday my darling baby girl. We looooooove you soooo much! Love Mama."
True to what she said, Jolina has found immense joy caring for her daughter. Not only does she love dressing up her little girl, she has also been fussing over Vika's short tresses using ribbons, velcro accessories, and turbans.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Sometimes, Jolina even manages to take "twinning" photos with Vika — and they're adorable! Take a look:ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
It's obvious Jolina's heart is full from being a mother. With two precious ones (and a supportive husband by her side), how can it not be? As she always says in her posts, "Ang sarap maging nanay!"ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
