Welcoming a baby, whether it’s your first or sixth, is just as impressive. On Saturday, September 12, 2020, Joy W. Sotto and husband Quezon City Vice Mayor Gian Sotto welcomed their sixth child.
“We welcomed another baby boy to our family,” Joy wrote on Instagram. The photo showed a cute little baby boy lying on a blue blanket. He was wearing diapers and a bonnet.
The mom of six shared that giving birth this time around was a “totally different experience” since Gian couldn’t be by her side. “I had so much fear and anxiety, I couldn’t stop crying,” Joy revealed.

“But [I’m] grateful for my doctors and the nurses as well who helped calm me down. And of course, I praise God for His comfort and peace upon me from delivery to recovery,” she added.
For his part, Gian thanked everyone who stood in faith and prayer. He said that though it’s their sixth baby, the feeling of being a new dad never fades.
“Grabe, pang anim na beses ko na maging tatay pero feeling ko first time pa rin,” he wrote on his birth announcement post for his fifth son. He likened it to kissing his wife like it’s their first kiss every time.
Joy announced her sixth pregnancy in April 2020. The mama of six admitted that they weren’t planning on adding to their brood of five: sons Hugo, 15, Edrigu, 12, Sandro, 8, Rossano, 7, and daughter Amari, 4. But God had other plans for them.
