You have given your dad, and I complete happiness and joy through the years, and we are truly blessed to be your parents," mom Charlene wrote on her Instagram birthday greetings for her kids. "As you turn 16 today, we wish for you to reach for your dreams, spread the love and continue to find true happiness with God’s grace and kindness. Thank you for the 16 years of love and compassion. Kris Aquino reveals waiving ex-husband James Yap's child support for Bimb
The Queen of All Media confirmed in a comment on her Instagram post that she had waived child support from James for their son Bimby. The revelation came after a netizen asked about their son's school arrangements. The user second-guessed that James thought homeschooling Bimb is Kris's way of keeping the father from visiting his son in school.

"You know, at this point Care Bears (which we take that Kris means, 'I don't care anymore') na. It hurt Bimb deeply when his dad said nakakawalang ganang magpaka-ama sa kanya... so anyway custody was granted to me, and I waived child support regardless of compromise agreement from our very fair family court judge," the single mom wrote. "So we'll live our lives peacefully — mantra ko yun — I cannot control how others will behave or react but I can control myself and be the best mom possible," Kris stressed.

Last August, after eight months of not seeing Bimb, James was granted visitation rights to see his son every Friday. But the father lamented to Pep.ph that "mahirap pilitin yung sarili mo na ayaw naman sa'yo." Since then, the two met a few times through the initiative of Michela Cazzola, James's girlfriend, but the relationship was rumored to be troubled again became when Bimb didn't attend his half-brother MJ's first birthday.
