Kristine and Oyo Sotto Look Just as in Love Now as They Did Eight Years Ago

After eight years, Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Sotto's marriage looks stronger than ever. Last Saturday, January 12, 2018, the celebrity couple celebrated their wedding anniversary and Oyo's 35th birthday. Oyo marked this double celebration by posting a series of family photos on Instagram.

"Happy na, birthday pa, anniversary pa! Solid! Salamat Lord sa walong taon. Ibang klase, only by God's grace... Salamat din sa tatlumput limang taon dito sa mundo. I love you @khsotto thank you to my children," he wrote on Instagram.

The couple tied the knot in an intimate Christian wedding in Batangas in 2011. Since then, both Kristine and Oyo occasionally accepted TV projects, but they focused on raising their family: sons Kiel, 10 years old; Kaleb, 4; and Vin, 2, and daughter Ondrea, 7.

In an exclusive video interview with Smart Parenting in June 2013, Oyo relayed how hands-on Kristine is as a mom. "Babantayan ko lang yung mga kids tapos she'll be the one to cook, to do the laundry. Marunong 'yan sa gawaing bahay, madami lang hindi nakakaalam," he said proudly.

Time with the family is sacred to the Sottos, as their social media feeds would show. Their kids, naturally, take centerstage:

Every so often, and especially on special occasions, they join the rest of the Sotto clan for out-of-town vacations, or spend weekends with Kristine's side of the family. 

Kristine and Oyo have also taught their children at a young age to help out in the house, which experts say is a good foundation for teaching kids how to be responsible. The little helpers are only happy to wash dishes, sweep the floor, or lend a hand with grocery shopping!

Despite having their hands full, the couple never forgets to spend time together, whether on a date, or pursuing their hobbies.

The couple ventured into the restaurant business in 2014 with The Farm Organics, together with a few business partners. In 2017, born out of Oyo's love for motorbikes, the couple started Kona Bikes, a bicycle and accessories store in Westgate, Alabang, and put up their own coffee shop, K's Cafe, which is Kristine's passion project. 

Surrounded by family, friends, and for the most part leading a quiet life away from show business, it's safe to say that Oyo and Kristine's dreams when they tied the knot eight years ago have all come true.
