  • Kylie Padilla Admits Feeling Mom Guilt For Pursuing Her Dreams

  • Days before her firstborn’s third birthday, Kylie Padilla admitted being a young mom isn’t easy. She revealed feeling guilty for doing something outside of motherhood. 

    “Motherhood has always been such a pivotal thing for me. I am naturally inclined to give more of myself to my family, BUT also at the same time I find a new kind of drive to pursue all of my other dreams,” Kylie wrote on Instagram. 

    Her words were accompanied by a black and white photo of her hugging her second son, Axl. Her back was turned from the camera, and only a part of the little boy’s face is shown.

    Since giving birth a second time in December 2019, Kylie has been enjoying staying at home, patiently waiting for her body to heal while caring for her kids, Alas Joaquin and Axl Romeo. Still, motherhood didn’t stop Kylie from doing her art and launching a new business, Ava Luna By Kylie.

    The actress, 27, finds her dilemma strange. Kylie shared she would have never tried to pursuing her passions and turning them into small businesses if she didn’t become a mom. 

    “It is difficult to juggle, and sometimes mom guilt gets the best of me,” Kylie said. “But I respect the fact that I can’t give my family the best version of me if I can’t give myself the chance to grow in all my other talents and grow as a person,” she stressed.

    Even with the challenges of being a young mom, Kylie is determined to learn the ropes as her sons grow. “I’ll be forever grateful we shared our growth together,” she added.

    In 2019, Kylie, then pregnant with Axl, revealed her battle with perinatal depression. After giving birth, she had spoken about feeling pressured to get back to her pre-pregnant body immediately. But she also acknowledged that her body is taking longer to recover from childbirth the second time around.

    Kylie is taking her time before starting to work out and embracing her new curves — and the time she's able to hug and see her kids grow.
