Over the weekend, Judy Ann and Ryan hosted a family get-together in their beach home with their friends Iya Villania and Drew Arellano, Suzy and Paolo Abrera, and the rest of their #TheBrapPack gang and their kids. "You know it’s a good weekend spent when you don't have photos on your phone! Thank God for husbands and #gopros!" the mom of three wrote as a caption to a video that summed up their weekend getaway. Paolo also posted their group photo and wrote, "Will be digesting this weekend's meals for an entire week!" Iya captioned their group photo, "What a weekend!!! When the wives plan... it's sure to happen." Iya thanked the hosts and said "I think we'll invite ourselves back for more. Medyo wild ka, Juday!" with the hashtag #BawalMagutomSaCasaAgoncillo. It looks like the whole gang and their kids had a blast!

It used to be a toss-up between Robin and Mariel as to who their daughter resembles more, but Mariel's recent Instagram post leaves us with no doubt. "Good morning from the twins!!! Little Robin and Isabella!!! Grabbed Robin's photo from Ate Rema who from the start said that Isabella was Robin's female version," the new mom wrote on Instagram as a caption for a collage photo of her daughter and childhood pictures of her husband. "Now it is confirmed. Uwian na mga bes... may nanalo na. Carbon copy. Doppelgänger levels. Hehe," Mariel added. So cute!
CHED approves tuition hike in 268 private higher education institutions
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), via a statement, said the increase in tuition and fees would take effect in the incoming school year, 2017 to 2018. The 268 higher education institutions (HEIs) that will charge higher fees represent only 16 percent of the total number of HEIs in the country, CHED said. The average tuition hike is 6.96 percent or P86.68 per unit, while the increase in other school fees will be 6.9 percent or P243. "For its part, CHED ensures that HEIs meet the guidelines provided by law, especially the requirement of consultation, the proper allocation of tuition fees, and strict adherence with the processes that seek to make tuition and other school fee increases transparent, reasonable and affordable," the commission said. 'BBC dad' and kids appear in Korean reality showADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Professor Robert Kelly and his family are back on the small screen, this time on a Korean reality-variety show called The Return of Superman. "Because of this program, I have a nice opportunity to spend more time with my kids during the day which I don't get to do much," said Kelly, who is a political science professor, in the video. The teaser video posted by KBS Entertainment on YouTube shows Kelly running around and having fun with his four-year-old daughter Marion and one-year-old son James. As expected, they are so cute! James is just crawling about all over the home, while Marion is jumping around, hugging her little brother, eating snacks, and just being herself. The family seems to spend a lot of time on the floor playing. Korea-based Australian comedian Sam Hammington and son William also visited the Kelly family at their home, and it looks like one-year-olds William and James will have a face-off (too bad we couldn't understand their dialogue in Korean). The Return of Superman is a show about celebrity dads who are left to take care of their children alone for 48 hours. (abs-cbn.com)
Disney opens Avatar and Guardians of the Galaxy theme park attractionsADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
The Guardians of the Galaxy attraction at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, is set to open its doors officially to the public on Saturday, June 3. At the "Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout!" attraction, visitors explore a warehouse-type fortress owned by the mysterious collector Tanaleer Tivan, who has imprisoned the Guardians of the Galaxy. But Rocket Raccoon has escaped and is enlisting the help of guests to free the other Guardians from their glass cases. Visitors of the GOTG theme park attraction can also look at The Collector’s museum of artifacts such as fauna, relics, and species collected throughout the universe and housed in glass cases.
Over at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, "Pandora: The World of Avatar:" also opens its doors to the public this weekend. The ride recreates the world that director James Cameron imagined for his movie. Pandora includes the Na’vi River Journey ride, which sends guests down the sacred river hidden within a bioluminescent rainforest and ends in an encounter with a Na-vi Shaman. The Avatar Flight of Passage recreates the experience of riding on a winged Banshee over Pandora as riders fly past floating mountains, rushing waterfalls, and dense jungle. Three sequels to the Avatar movie is in the works. (inquirer.net)ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
