LOOK: President Duterte meets baby boy "Stonefish"
When President Rodrigo Duterte learned that his daughter Inday Sara has given birth, he was very eager to go home to his hometown to see his new grandson. "I'm really excited to go home... Tuloy ako sa ospital," he said during the induction of the newly-elected officers and trustees of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. That moment came soon enough and, thanks to Presidential Assistant Bong Go who took the photo, we catch a glimpse of the first meeting between the President and his newest grandson, whose real name is Marko Digong, according to Davao City Information Officer Jeff Tupas. Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte and husband Atty. Mans Carpio welcomed baby Stonefish yesterday, March 2. They have two other children, seven-year-old daughter "Sharkey", and three-year-old son "Stingray" (real name, Matteo Lucas). Congratulations to the Philippines' first family! (abs-cbn.com)
Gab Valenciano admits reason for failure of marriage, split with wifeADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
"I believe in my heart that I wasn’t emotionally, mentally prepared for something like that," said the 28-year-old artist and son of Gary Valenciano, on why his marriage to Tricia Centenera failed. "There was also that sense na parang it’s time na everybody also was getting married. It was a season of marriage. Parang lahat is getting married na,” Gab said during the grand launch of ABS-CBN's new reality show I Can Do That. He also disclosed that their legal separation is already in process; however, they are taking their time in filing for divorce in the U.S. to make sure everything is done right. "Kasi in the U.S., where we’re filing, 'pag nagkamali ka ng papeles, ang hirap na, e. Ang hirap ulitin. So we’re trying to perfect everything para at least pagka-file namin, everything is set in stone already," he explained. Gab and Tricia were married thrice: once in the U.S, and twice here in the Philippines.
Gab also shared that he and Tricia are now friends again. "We are not the best of friends yet but we are going towards a good friendship... I believe that is more than enough kasi we were good friends before. We fell in love and sadly things ended. But at the end of the day, I've seen how we are as friends and we are very good as friends," he said. (pep.ph)

Pero nung in-acknowledge ko na may ganun akong nararamdaman, in-accept ko na tapos dahan na nagiging okay ako kase normal naman pala yun sa mga bagong panganak."ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

WATCH: First trailer of new Ducktales seriesADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
The revamped Ducktales has not even premiered on Disney XD, yet it has already been renewed for a second season! The trailer for the rebooted '80s cartoon classic gives the kids a taste of the new retro and comic-book-like animation style. Donald Duck introduces his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie to their great uncle Scrooge McDuck, voiced by David Tenant. At first, the kids are not impressed by their great-uncle, saying "he used to be a big deal" and wonder what happened. So Scrooge McDuck is determined to relive his glory days anew as they explore unchartered territories and find new discoveries. That classic theme song will be nostalgic for the parents who grew up watching the cartoons. The new series will also feature the voices of Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, and Bobby Moynihan as Huey, Dewey and Louie respectively, Kate Micucci as Webby Vanderquack, and Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack. Ducktales will premiere on Disney XD this year. (variety.com)
Facebook improves anti-suicide toolsADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
The largest social media platform has introduced some updates and improvements to its tools that aim to help in preventing suicides attempted by individuals who also broadcast it online through their platform. In one of its posts, Facebook underscored the importance of utilizing these tools to preserve life. The new tools include improvements to existing integrations in their services like Facebook Live, Messenger and live-streaming. Among the key features is an option that allows Facebook users who are viewing a potential suicide video to directly reach out to the person to calm him down. There’s also an option to report the current scenario to authorities. The person live-streaming the video will be seeing similar options like connecting to a friend or contacting a help line. Facebook has also tweaked its artificial intelligence algorithm to identify both high-risk users and live videos that might result in suicide attempts.
