As a result, we got photos and a video of these adorable toddlers, Scarlet Snow and Zia. The video of the playdate was posted on Scarlet Snow's Instagram account. "Our mommies told us that too much of anything is bad. Except awesome. You can never be too much awesome. Look at our daddies," the caption read. Another photo showed the two little girls all dressed up for the Chinese New Year. Scarlet's dad Hayden Kho, and Zia's parents, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera also posted photos on their Instagram accounts. "This is a photo that I would want to recreate a decade (or two) from now," Dingdong wrote as the caption of his photo. We'll be waiting! (pep.ph)

Robin Padilla declares support for maternity billThe action star has claimed a new title: maternity dad! On an Instagram photo that shows him feeding his daughter, Maria Isabella, Robin made an impassioned plea. "Sa nakikita kong hirap, pagod at puyat ng aking asawa [Mariel Rodriguez] @marieltpadilla I strongly support HB4113 isulong para sa mga kababaihan - Maternity DAD." House Bill (HB) 4113, or the 100-day Maternity Leave Bill proposes to extend a new mom's maternity leave with pay from the current 60 (for normal vaginal delivery) and 78 (for C-section deliveries) days to 100. He quoted Party List Diwa representative Emmeline Aglipay-Villar's statement: "This number, however, fails to fully cover even the first 100 days of the life of a child, a period which is critical to breastfeeding, establishing a bond with the baby, and developing a resistance to chronic diseases such as asthma." HB 4113 also includes an option for female employees in the government or private sector to seek an additional 30-day leave without pay. We hope more dads declare their support for this bill!

Watch: DOT's new tourism ad!The highlight of the first new ad by the Department of Tourism (DOT) is the Filipino hospitality. The ad, conceptualized by advertising firm McCann Erickson, features travel blogger Jack Ellis' heartwarming experience in Surigao. The ad has been airing on local TV networks since January 25 and will be played during the Miss Universe pageant coronation night on January 30. The first of the three ads, which was posted on the DOT's Facebook page had the caption, "#WhenWithFilipinos, it is definitely more fun in the Philippines." "Everybody has beaches, everybody can go shopping, you can eat anywhere... but it's the Filipinos that are different," DOT secretary Wanda Corazon Teo told Manla Coconuts. "We have to show that. It should answer the question, 'Why is it more fun in the Philippines?' And you focus on the traits of the Filipino," she added. (esquiremag.ph)

HP laptop recall due to batteries
The computer technology firm announced this week that it's recalling 101,000 laptop batteries after receiving another report of a battery overheating, melting and charring. This recall involves batteries containing Panasonic cells that are used in HP, Compaq, HP ProBook, HP ENVY, Compaq Presario, and HP Pavilion laptops. Affected batteries will carry a bar code that starts with 6BZLU, 6CGFK, 6CGFQ, 6CZMB, 6DEMA, 6DEMH, 6DGAL or 6EBVA. "Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled batteries, remove them from the notebook computers, and contact HP for a free replacement battery. Until a replacement battery is received, consumers should use the notebook computer by plugging it into AC power only," warned the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Last year, it issued a recall of around 40,000 batteries, warning users of affected laptops that they might end up with a scalded lap. (inquirer.net)ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
