It can be a bit stressful following the news during this global pandemic. But just as we all stay home and remain vigilant against the spread of COVID-19, let's not forget the frontliners that risk their lives every day.
Many celebrities have used their status and reach to help health workers and other frontliners. Bela Padilla raised money for street vendors. Angel Locsin has been providing sanitation tents to hospitals. Judy Ann Santos, Marian Rivera, and Pokwang do what they do best: cook!
Marian cooked menudo, a family specialty
Marian Rivera cooked their family's specialty, the menudo recipe that has been passed to her by her Nanay Ingkang, for frontliners at the Quezon City General Hospital. The Kapamilya actress personally prepared sandwiches for policemen and soldiers at checkpoints and doctors and nurses in Rizal. The mama of two has also been tapped by Father Tito Calauag to be a "central kitchen" to cook food for poor families. Pokwang received some criticism for her charitable acts.
