Marian Rivera Is Committed to Breastfeed Ziggy as She Did With ZiaMarian Rivera talks about how her life has changed after becoming a mom of two.by Rachel Perez .
Last June 25, 2019, a little over two months since she gave birth in April, Marian Rivera returned to the spotlight to launch a jewelry collaboration, and everyone at the press conference was curious to ask how life has changed now that she’s a mom of two.
“Kung anong ginawa ko kay Zia, ganoon rin kay Ziggy,” Marian shared to the press, according to GMA News Online, and that includes breastfeeding her second child with husband Dingdong Dantes, a son whom they nicknamed Ziggy. After the launch, Marian shared her “pasalubong” for Ziggy on her Instagram Stories.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
“‘Si Ziggy mas ano siya, eh, siguro kasi lalaki, mas malakas mag-dede. Tapos hindi iyakin. ‘Pag nilapag mo, hindi iiyak, hindi nagpapabuhat,” the mom of two said of Ziggy.
It’s hard for her to leave Ziggy for long periods since she’s also exclusively breastfeeding. “Ako yung tipo ng nanay na hands-on. Kasi ayoko pagsisihan na wala ako doon habang lumalaki sila,” she said.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
On Instagram, Marian admitted being a mom of two was overwhelming, but a positive outlook and confidence in one’s abilities help, especially when it comes to breastfeeding. “If kinaya ko, kayang kaya niyo din! Breastfeeding is life-saving and has lots of benefits for the baby, mom, entire family, and the environment, too,” she wrote on Instagram, calling herself “padede mom.”
“Ngayon na dalawa na sila, I want to make sure I spend quality time with them not only with my bunso but with ate Zia and my husband. So I started to express and build my milk stash para naman kahit wala ako I can still provide breast milk kay Ziggy.
“Ano mang kapalit sa physical — all worthy. Mahalaga lumaki silang matalino, malusog at mapagmahal na mga anak,” Marian added.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Marian says Ate Zia is eager and willing to help care for her little brother. “Responsible siya bilang ate,” she shared. Zia’s duties include getting diapers and throwing the soiled ones in the trash and keeping Ziggy occupied by playing with him when Marian needs to attend to other tasks.
"Nakakatuwa kasi sabi ko nga, iba din pala ’yong fulfillment mo kapag may anak ka. ’Yon ngang isa kay Zia sobrang happy na ako, eh, nadagdagan pa so mas marami masaya, parang pangarap na binigay at pinagkaloob talaga," the mom of two said.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Marian has been learning how to manage her time between her two kids and her husband Dingdong. She admitted that dates with her husband have been fewer, but they are learning to adjust. When her husband is at work, she often sends him photos of the kids.
“Parang pangarap pa rin parang hindi pa rin nagsi-sink in na nakahiga ako at may kasama akong dalawang anghel sa tabi ko parang wow,” Marian said.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
