Meet Baby Greyson Jet! Erika Padilla and Jeffrey Cariaso's First Baby

It's been a week since the actress-sportscaster gave birth, and finally, over the weekend, Erika shared a photo of her first child, son Greyson Jet. "Hanging out with my power duo today," she wrote as a caption for a photo of her husband, pro-basketball-player-turned-Alaska-coach Jeffrey Cariaso, cradling their baby. 

As per text messages from her handler, the pregnant actress was admitted to the hospital on September 7 with signs of pre-eclampsia. On September 14, her handler confirmed with Smartparenting.com.ph, that she has given birth the previous Friday, September 8, via emergency C-section. Congratulations!

Preggo Michelle Madrigal pens a letter for her unborn child

"To our first born, there's nothing daddy and I won't do for you. You will be loved unconditionally and have fit parents to keep up with all your activities," the actress wrote on Instagram. "We will figure out this parenting together to give you a life you truly deserve. Love, Mom and Dad," Michelle ended her post.

The letter accompanied a shot from the couple's maternity shoot, where the soon-to-be mom bared and flaunted her baby bump with her fiance Troy Woolfolk. She also posted a throwback sexy photo of her in a black one-piece swimsuit. "Yep, four weeks preggo and clueless!" she wrote in the caption. (pep.ph)

The baby girl in the host-actress's tummy must have been doing somersaults, because look at her move! "Hi little girl, what's going on in there?" the seven-month preggo Pauleen wrote in the caption, using the hashtag #activebaby. 

In an interview with Pep.ph, soon-to-be-dad-again Vic Sotto confirmed that the baby is very "malikot." "Malaki siya, sipa siya nang sipa. Nararamdaman ko pagkadikit sa akin na ganyan. Ramdam ko e," he shared. He's also thankful for his wife's uncomplicated pregnancy. On his latest fatherhood journey, Vic said it feels like the first time all over again. "Nakalimutan ko na yung huli ko, that was about 26 years ago. So, this is a whole new experience for me," Vic added. He and the whole family are excited to welcome the new baby girl soon! (pep.ph)

Congress approves bill to strengthen health programs for preggos, nursing moms, and kids
The House of Representatives (HOR) approved on second reading House Bill 5777, entitled "An Act Strengthening the National and Local Health and Nutrition Programs for Pregnant and Lactating Women, Adolescent Girls of Reproductive Age and Teen-Age Mothers, Infants and Young Children in the First 1,000 Days, and Appropriating Funds Therefor." The proposed measure seeks to address malnutrition and poor health in pregnant, lactating women, and young children, especially kids ages zero to two years old. It aims to provide a more comprehensive, sustainable and multi-sectoral programs and projects to address health and nutrition and prevent maternal and infant mortality. The bill also seeks to enhance the health nutritional status and alleviate malnutrition and hunger.(gmanetwork.com)

HOR approves removing expiry dates on gift certificates
Lawmakers had approved House Bill 6016, or the "Gift Check Non-Expiry Act," which would make it illegal to issue or sell gift checks certificates, or cards (GCs) with an expiry date. If signed into law, GCs shall remain valid until the closure of the business of the issuer. "Promotional sales activities, loyalty programs, warranties, return policies for cash purchase and discounts for senior citizens and persons with disability as provided under relevant laws and regulations shall apply likewise to purchase of goods and services that are paid for with gift check, gift certificate, and gift card," read the bill. Last month, the Senate had also approved a bill seeking to prohibit businesses from imposing expiry dates on gift checks, certificates or cards. (gmanetwork.com)
