Michelle Madrigal Shares Her Amazing Childbirth Video!Plus, Neri Naig and Chito Miranda celebrate Miggy's first birthday, DepEd releases an advisory on erroneous Facebook page, and more!by Rachel Perez .
Michelle Madrigal is one calm mama in her birthing video
A month after giving birth to her first baby, the sexy actress shared a video that captured their first meeting. "No caption needed, just love," Michelle wrote. We also heard her say in the video, "One month ago, I met my baby girl, Anika, I fell in love all over again."ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
In the video, Michelle was lying on the birthing table surrounded by her support team and fiance Troy Woolfolk. One woman, presumably her doctor, counted down to help her push, and as soon as the baby was out, Michelle reached out for her daughter and held her close to her chest as a birth assistant wiped her down.
Everyone in the room was ecstatic. You could hear them saying, "There she is!" "Oh my god, you did it!" "Great job!" You're amazing!" until Baby Anika let our her first cry.
Her video Instagram post was filled similar comments. Some also noted how Michelle did not look like she had a hard time giving birth. Michelle wasn't ashamed to admit she had an epidural. She pushed her baby out in 35 minutes! (The epidural is the most common preferred pain relief method for childbirth. It is injected into the spine and delivers continuous pain relief to the lower part of your body while allowing you to remain fully conscious.)ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
A week after giving birth, Michelle posted an honest take on motherhood. "Not gonna lie, I am exhausted from all the sleepless nights, frustrated when I can't seem to understand what she wants every time she cries," the new mom wrote, adding that she worried about her milk supply like most new moms. "It's been a roller coaster experience for me, and sometimes I just cry to let it all out. My hormones are still all over the place, but this little angel is keeping me sane at the same time. She taught me what unconditional love is," Michelle added.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
At four weeks postpartum, Michelle was already working to get back in shape. "My man put me to work this am. Thanks for the push and helping me snap back to my pre MOM Bod," Michelle wrote.
Neri Naig and Chito Miranda celebrate Miggy's first birthday!
It was a vintage carnival-themed first birthday party for the Little Mr. Suave. Neri and Chito welcomed Baby Miggy on November 23 last year via an emergency C-section. Since his actual birth date fell on a Thursday, the couple decided to hold the birthday celebration in advance and on the weekend at The Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
An impromptu reunion of Star Circle Quest Batch 1, which Neri was part of, happened at the party. It has been 12 years since Neri, Joross Gamboa, Joseph Bitangcol, Melissa Ricks, Raphael Martinez, Lovely Terrado, and road manager Jerry Telan, were together, and many are now parents themselves.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

DepEd releases advisory on erroneous #WalangPasok announcement
The Department of Education (DepEd) issued an advisory against Facebook page "Walang Pasok Advisory" after the said group allegedly shared a post last November 20 that said classes on November 23, 24 and 27, 28 and 29 were suspended.

House okays mental health bill on final reading
The House of Representatives (HOR) on Monday, November 20, approved the Mental Health Bill (House Bill Number 6452) on its third and final reading. The vote was 223 in favor, and none abstained or voted against the proposed measure. The Senate already approved its version of the mental health bill on May 2017. "After being one of the few countries left without a mental health policy, the [Philippines] is now one step closer in implementing a policy that will respond to the mental health needs of Filipinos," Senator Risa Hontiveros, sponsor of the Senate version of the bill, said. With both versions passed, the bills will be consolidated and then forwarded to the president, who can either sign the bill into law or veto it. Should the "Comprehensive Mental Health Act" be enacted into law, it states that every person should have access to the best available mental health care.
