“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” they shared on Instagram alongside an illustration of a tree. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”

They closed their announcement with a sweet note: “And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake.”

The happy news comes less than a year after Millie and Jake tied the knot in a private ceremony in May 2024, followed by a second celebration in Tuscany that September. Now, their family has grown in the most meaningful way.

Millie’s Longtime Dream of Motherhood

Millie has spoken openly about her dream of becoming a mom long before her marriage. On an episode of the Smartless podcast in March, the 21-year-old actress reflected on how motherhood has always been part of her plan.

“My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake,” Millie shared. “Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”

“Jake knows how important it is to me, and of course I want to really establish myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family,” she added. “For me personally, like, it’s a huge thing.”

She went on to say, “Jake was like, we cannot do that until we get married. So that was his thing.”

Both Millie and Jake come from big families, and Millie has shared that she wants the same.

“I’m one of four. He’s one of four, so it is definitely in our future,” she explained.

Along the way, Millie opened up about her feelings on adoption.

“I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting,” she said. “For me, like, my home is full of love for anyone and anything, and so that is what we stand by, Jake and I—our energy in the house is like, ‘The door is always open.’”

On Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, Millie laughed about the “abundance of animals” in her life, revealing that she cares for 10 dogs, four cats, 25 farm animals, and 23 foster dogs in a sanctuary on her property. She’s essentially been an adopter many times over, giving a home to creatures who needed love and care.
