  • 1. Paula Peralejo-Fernandez says son had tongue and lip tie

On Instagram, Paula Peralejo-Fernandez revealed her son, Pablo, had a frenectomy after a pedia-dentist confirmed her baby had “a tongue and lip tie,” a condition, she says, that can lead to speech delay and dental problems. During a frenectomy procedure, a doctor clips the tissue or membrane (called the frenulum) that attaches the tongue to the floor of the mouth or when the upper lip is tethered to the gum. A lactation consultant tipped off Paula of the condition after she kept experiencing breastfeeding pain despite the proper latch. Paula clarifies that the procedure is a parent’s option and it is not “necessarily the only action you need to take.” In her case, she chose to do it while Pablo is a baby, when the “nerve endings are not yet fully developed so it's supposedly painless for them (or sore at most and they recover quickly).” The new mom says the surgery has already made a difference -- Pablo is latching better and the breastfeeding pain has definitely subsided.

Hayden has certainly been prolific about his love for Scarlet Snow, his daughter with Dr. Vicki Belo. And his latest ode to his daughter may just top all his past declarations of love. The video above, which he uploaded on Instagram today, shows him and Scarlet having a father-and-daughter day. They’re having tea, watching a movie outdoors, and clearly having fun together. Parents can relate to Hayden’s caption, which is brimming with love: “There are some things you die for; and some people you live for. If my only purpose in life is to be your father and to raise you as a God-fearing woman who will be a blessing to others, I would not ask for a greater role.” The video was by Pram & Cradle, who also uploaded the video on their Instagram.
