First Pokémon Permanent Theme Park is Opening in Japan Soon!

PokéPark KANTO, announced by The Pokémon Company, will be a Pokémon-packed Trainer Area where guests can explore a lush forest and bustling town, meeting over 600 Pokémon from various regions. Spanning 2.6 hectares, the park will rise within Yomiuriland, one of Tokyo’s popular amusement parks, and will build on the success of Pokémon Wonder, its 2021 immersive forest attraction.

The Pokémon Forest spans over 1,600 feet in length, letting families wander hilly paths, tall grass, tunnels, and rocky trails while spotting Pokémon as they run, nap, share berries, and battle. Imagine seeing a towering Venusaur under the trees or Jigglypuff peeking behind bushes. The forest recreates the feeling of walking through the routes in classic Pokémon games, sparking nostalgia for parents while thrilling young Trainers.

Sedge Town is a vibrant area where Trainers from around the world can gather. It will feature a Pokémon Center for photo ops, a Poké Mart selling exclusive merchandise, a gym where children can test their skills, and the Primarina Fountain, the site of parades and performances. Guests will also enjoy themed food, souvenirs, and interactive attractions that bring Pokémon lore to life.

PokéPark KANTO will join other major Pokémon attractions in Japan, such as Pokémon Café in Nihonbashi and Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo in Ikebukuro. But unlike indoor stores and cafés, this outdoor park immerses families in an open-world environment where Pokémon thrive in the wild.
