Thanks to Good Teachers, These Kids Gained a Lot More Than Just Developing Their Talents

  • When given the opportunity, children can soar high when their potentials are nurtured, and 270 kids at this year’s Promil Four’s i-Shine Talent Camp showed just how much young during its “Celebrate the Gift Recital,” hosted by actress Dimples Romana.

     The Promil Four i-Shine Talent Camp tapped experts not only to help the kids hone their talents but they also instilled values such as teamwork, discipline, imagination, harmony, and versatility.

    The first group to perform where the participants of the Art Camp, which was headed by Teacher Robert Alejandro of Papemelroti and Teacher Kara Escay of Masterpiece Movement. The kids impressed with a colorful mural and tunnel they created during the camp. Their artwork reflected their imagination through creative exploration and self-expression.

    Next to perform were the participants of the Dance Camp, under the wing of Teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy of G-Force. The beginner and intermediate groups showed off their amazing dance moves that exhibited their incredible teamwork while still expressing their individuality.

    The participants of the Ballet Camp, guided by Teacher Lisa Macuja-Elizalde of Ballet Manila, were next. Their elegant performance perfectly showed the discipline they developed during the camp.

    The budding ballerinas of the Ballet Camp enthralled the audience with their smooth and delicate routine.

    Next to go onstage were the Theater Camp participants, led by Teacher Audie Gemora of Trumpets Playshop. They enchanted the audience with a performance of the well-known tale “The Boy Who Cried Wolf,” which was directed by coaches from Trumpets Playshop.

    Last but not the least were the participants of the Music Camp, under the guidance of Teacher Ryan Cayabyab. The kids gave a performance of harmonious instruments and voices that truly gave the perfect ending to a successful event.

    To finish off the night, the Music Camp participants gave an exciting, harmonious number.

    KC Enerva, whose son Geof participated in the Art Camp, expressed her joy at how the camp helped her child. “I enrolled him in i-Shine because alam ko yung quality ng camps based on previous i-Shiners,” she shared. “Perfectionist kasi si Geof, pero ngayon natuto siya na it’s okay to make mistakes and ask help from others.”

    Meanwhile, Happy Puno, mom of Ella, who joined the Theater Camp, found that her daughter got to know herself more with the help of the camp. “I’m very glad that she got to discover more of herself while having fun. Theater helped open up her mind by being more versatile and creative,” she said.

    “We enrolled with expectations about developing her craft, but my daughter gained a lot more because of Promil Four’s i-Shine 7 Theater Camp — life lessons and skills.”
