Rebisco's Kabalikat Sa Pagbangon Program: Supporting Education And School Canteens Nationwide
  • Rebisco, a trusted food and beverage company in the Philippines, is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year (August). As a household name known for providing delicious and affordable food products to Filipino families, Rebisco is proud to partner with the Department of Education (DepEd) in their mission to ensure quality education amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Supporting the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan

The Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan was developed by the DepEd to address the disruptions in education caused by the global health crisis. With the closure of schools and the shift to remote learning, millions of students faced significant challenges in continuing their education. The partnership between Rebisco and DepEd aims to bridge this gap and provide the necessary support to students, parents, and educators.

Rebisco actively contributes to implementing this plan by offering assistance in the school canteen and classroom renovations, providing in-kind donations, and supporting distance learning efforts through educational resources.

Kabalikat sa Pagbangon Program: Brightening School Canteens

In line with DepEd's Brigada Eskwela slogan, "Tugon sa Hamon Ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral," Rebisco has launched the Kabalikat sa Pagbangon Program. The company’s initiative is to dress up 60 school canteens inclusive of school canteens from the 20 poorest provinces based on NEDA’s Program Priority Plan.

"We believe that every Filipino child deserves a safe and comfortable place to learn and grow, including having a pleasant environment to enjoy their meals in," says Mr. Victor C. Janolino, Corporate Marketing Head of Rebisco. By partnering with DepEd, Rebisco aims to provide the best possible education for Filipino children and continues supporting their initiatives.

    A Shared Commitment to Education

Through this partnership with DepEd, Rebisco demonstrates its commitment to corporate social responsibility. With a long-standing tradition of supporting education initiatives in the Philippines, Rebisco firmly believes that education is a fundamental right and a catalyst for social progress.

Together, Rebisco and DepEd exemplify the collective commitment of public and private sectors in ensuring that no Filipino learner is left behind, building a resilient and inclusive education system that can adapt to any future challenges.
