Ruffa Gutierrez's First Love Advice To Her Daughters: 'Darating Din Iyan'The actress and former beauty queen has two teenage daughters, Lorin and Venice.by Kate Borbon .
In an interview with PEP.ph at her launch as the ambassador of a beauty clinic, Ruffa was asked about what she tells her girls, 16-year-old Lorin and 15-year-old Venice, about the experience of first love.
“I told Lorin and Venice, your first love normally won’t be your last love even if you want it to be. It doesn’t happen,” the former beauty queen shared.
Ruffa also said that in the future, when Lorin and Venice experience their first heartbreak, they will be able to eventually move on.
“Twenty years from now, after you have gotten over your first love, pagtatawanan mo na lang iyan. ‘Ginawa ko yun?!’ or ‘Eww, nagustuhan ko siya?’ Ganoon lang.”
She continued, “So hindi ako naniniwala sa first love never dies, ‘cause mine died!”ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
For now, her advice for her daughters is: “Achieve your dreams. I tell them that the world is big. Don’t focus on guys. Darating din iyan.”CONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended VideosADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Still, she said that she is not ready for Lorin and Venice to start entertaining boys. “Hindi pa rin ako ready, baka lumabas pagka-Annabelle Rama ko.”
“I just don’t like posting, because hindi makakatulong sa career ko, di naman kami magka-love team, so why pa?” she said. “Sometimes people, they overshare, especially on Instagram, yung mga, ‘Baby, I love you…’ Eww. I would like to keep my private life private.”
She later quipped, “My mom never liked anyone for me, wala naman siya nagiging gusto for me ever since. So keeping the peace, okay na rin yun, ayaw ko rin mag-post ng weird things na, ‘Hey, baby,’ kasi may mga dalaga na akong anak!”
