  • Two months after she gave birth to twins, new mom Saab Magalona looked back at the ordeal her family went through by way of an Instagram post. In it, she recalled that when she was still in the immediate care unit (IMCU), the doctors encouraged her to visit her son, Pancho Gerardo, who was then staying in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) the night after she gave birth.

"I didn’t want to because I felt sick and I didn’t want him to catch anything just in case," Saab wrote. "The doctors said it was important that I see him, implying that it was to say goodbye. They said he was in critical condition. That he might not make it," she added.

Saab, husband Jim Bacarro, and little Pancho have come a long way since. On Sunday, April 8, the family celebrated their son's two-month milestone at home, since "graduating" from the NICU.

"Praise God for listening to our prayers," Saab captioned a photo taken hours before they brought Pancho home. "Love to his guardian angel Luna. Thanks to them, we get to keep our beautiful miracle boy," she added as a shoutout to Pancho's twin sister up in heaven.

Since overcoming a huge ordeal as a family, Saab has been sharing on social media their precious moments so far.

"I'm obsessed" the new mom wrote as a caption for his first photo at home.

Saab admitted that they've been changing his clothes a lot because of a few boo-boos. "We’ll get better at this, I promise!!" Saab quipped.

"Here’s a photo of him after his morning bath. I’m so in love with my baby," she wrote for Pancho's closeup photos at two months old.

Some of Saab's followers say the little boy look like his dad Jim, while some say he looks like her, or her siblings Maxene and Elmo. But a lot more think Pancho resembles his granddad, the late Francis Magalona.
