Saab Magalona On Her Second Pregnancy: 'Our Baby Has Returned To Us'Saab Magalona and Jim Bacarro have kept their daughter Luna Isabel's memory alive in every single day they care for son Pancho.by Rachel Perez .
Last week, Saab Magalona Bacarro announced that she and husband Jim Bacarro are expecting again. This week, she shared her thoughts on being pregnant after a devastating loss.
"It’s heartbreaking to lose a child — how do you even number the succeeding ones? There’s no right or wrong way to go about it, it’s different for all parents, but Jim and I know in our hearts that our baby has returned to us," the soon-to-be mom of two wrote.
Saab revealed that while she and Jim learned about the pregnancy two days before their son Pancho's birthday in February, she already had a feeling she was nurturing a new life inside her as early as the holidays of 2018. The baby in her womb is "a Christmas gift to our family, a birthday gift to Pancho — whatever he/she is — we are so grateful for baby number two," she added.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
The preggo mom also thanked everyone for all the support, well wishes, prayers for her growing family.
In March 2018, Saab broke her silence and revealed through her blog that she had a traumatic premature birth on February 8. Jim described it as an unconventional path to fatherhood. One-half of their twins survived, but he needed to stay in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for two months before they could bring him home. In addition, Pancho had to wear a medical device under his scalp for a few months.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Daughter Luna Isabel, on the other hand, didn't make it. Saab believed then that Luna sacrificed her life to be able to save her brother. Since then, she and Jim had continued paying tribute to their daughter, one via an original song that immortalized her short life.
A comment on the preggo mom's second pregnancy announcement read, "Luna is making her way back to you! I am so happy and excited for you."ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
One person begged to differ through her comment on Saab's latest post: "I still believe Luna never left."
Another person said she's pregnant with her "rainbow baby," which refers to the baby born after a miscarriage or a loss.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
One of her followers also put two and two together and suggested that her pregnancy could also be partly the reason why Saab stopped breastfeeding the soon-to-be big brother Pancho. A few weeks prior, Saab disclosed that Pancho's doctors advised her to switch formula milk when one netizen called her out and shamed her for bottle-feeding, and not being a good role model to other moms.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Being a mom in the digital era, Saab is all about keeping things positive which is reflected on the support she has gotten in both of her pregnancy announcements. One of her followers already warned mom-shamers who might say Pancho is too young to be a big brother to get a life.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
