After a rigid but exciting 2-month online voting period, the 1st Sangobion Mommy Blogger Awards culminated in an intimate awarding ceremonies attended by the finalists, their family and friends, and officials from Sangobion and Summit Media. The winners were given due recognition in a lavish event held at the Holiday Inn Galleria in Ortigas, Pasig last August 23.
Jenny Ong of Chronicles of a Nursing Mom was proclaimed 2nd runner-up with a total of 1,616 votes, while Rowena Wendy Lei of Animetric’s World, with 5,764 votes, was the first runner-up. Fleur Rubio-Sombrero’s Mommy Fleur blog got the People’s Choice award with 12,318 votes, and Neva Arboleda-Santos of Manila Mommy was chosen as the Sangobion Mommy Blogger Awardee.
All four awardees received an Apple iPad 3 and 3 months’ supply of Sangobion, the organic iron. In addition, the People’s Choice awardee, Mommy Fleur, is also entitled to a shopping spree worth P10,000. Hotel Sofitel Manila, a major sponsor of the Mommy Blogger Awards, will also be welcoming the People’s Choice awardee and the first runner-up to their hotel for an overnight stay worth P8,500.
Fellow finalists Eliza Santiago-Ypon of The Painter's Wife, Michelle Lim of My Mom-Friday, Martine De Luna of Dainty Mom, and Rone Valles Guerrero of Mothering Earthlings were also present to accept their certificate of appreciation and to cheer on the winners. Chats Siao of iMom Online and Toni Tiu of Wifely Steps were both on mommy-duty and could not make it to the event.
