The nine-month wait is over. Dianne Medina and Rodjun Cruz welcomed their first child on Thursday, September 10, 2020.
"My answered prayer, my Baby Rodolfo Joaquin Diego III. Thank you, my Almighty Father," the new mom wrote on Instagram.
Dianne gave birth at St. Lukes Medical Center in Quezon City at 1:55am. She also thanked her doctor, Dr. May Gonzaga on her son's birth announcement post.
Rodjun, for his part, also posted on his Instagram. "Welcome to the world, Rodolfo Joaquin Diego III. I Love you so much, my son. I will hold your hand Forever and guide you every step of the way! Thank you, Lord," the new dad said.
Baby Joaquin's name was derived from "Rodolfo," which is Rodjun's dad's name. This is why the little boy has III affixed in his name. Rodjun told Pep.ph that the name means work and strong.

The name "Joaquin," on the other hand, is the Spanish version of the name Joachim. It means "lifted by Yahweh" or "God has established." Dianne added that the name "Diego" is a boy's name of Spanish origin, meaning 'supplanter.'
Dianne and Rodjun first revealed that they were expecting on April 12, 2020, Easter Sunday. The actress was already 17 weeks pregnant then. Last June, they announced that they're having a baby boy via a gender reveal party via Zoom. They also held a baby shower in July.

Being pregnant during the pandemic, Dianne and Rodjun had enough time to prepare for their son's arrival. Baby JOaquin's nursery awaits him.
