Mom of two Shamcey Supsup has long been praised for having both brains and beauty. The Miss Universe Third Runner-up 2011 recently admitted she aimed to get good grades but to a fault.

"I grew up to be really 'grade conscious' or 'GC' for short," Shamcey wrote on Instagram. "It didn't matter if I really learned anything as long as I get the grade, I was fine," she said.

She wrote the caption alongside a photo of the first page of her transcript of records (TOR) or the list of the subjects Shamcey has taken in college and the corresponding grades she received. The mom of two graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree of Architecture from the University of the Philippines Diliman.

Her TOR shows almost all her subjects with the highest grades of 1, 1.25. 1.5 and 1.75. The only course that had a grade of 2, which still isn't bad, is History of Architecture. Shamcey jokingly blamed her professor for that subject as it stands out from her grades of 1's and is such an outlier.

The mom of two, who was also a valedictorian in grade school and a salutatorian in high school, had a change of heart and realized that getting high grades is not the end-all and be-all.

"Now, I am more than certain that grades are not everything. Grades should be a byproduct of learning," Shamcey stressed. "What you do with that knowledge is MUCH more important than what is on your report card," she added.

The beauty queen and husband Lloyd Lee are raising two kids, Nyla Kelcey (or& Nyke), 4, and& Peter Nathan, who is turning 2 in September. Shamcey has also been homeschooling her daughter, who can already read, add, and subtract at her age.

The mom of two also topped the Architecture Licensure Examination in 2010 and is currently the national director of the Miss Universe Philippines organization.

She and her husband, through their Pedro 'N Coi restaurant chain, have been helping feed orphanages, stranded students, and frontliners, and are also raising money to fund personal protective equipment (PPE) for health workers.
