Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup and her businessman husband Lloyd Lee are growing their family in more ways than one.
At the launch of their new burger joint Scott Burger, the couple's 12th business venture, the beauty queen revealed to the press that she's also four months pregnant with baby number two. The launch and her announcement also coincided with her 32nd birthday.
"We're very happy to welcome this new blessing into the family," the model and host said in a video interview posted on YouTube by showbiz reporter MJ Marfori.
Shamcey and Lloyd are hoping for a baby boy this time "para girl and boy, puwede na, quota na," the beauty queen quipped. They will soon know if their prayers will be answered in their next ultrasound checkup.
On the other hand, ABS-CBN reporter MJ Felipe, reports that the baby's sex is confirmed and that according to Lloyd, they are considering the name Peter Nathan.
Shamcey also shared that her second pregnancy is different from her first in that she feels she's growing bigger this time, although she doesn't mind the weight gain because she feels healthy.
"Kay Nyke [her first child], pumayat ako [when I was pregnant with her] because I was always throwing up," she recalled. "This time around... I'm always hungry, like every two hours I have to eat," Shamcey said.
The beauty queen-turned-model hopes to take on motherhood the second time around with ease, with her experience raising daughter Nyke. She has learned to be practical and vowed to only buy new baby stuff if needed, such as new clothes if they're indeed having a boy.
After the success of their restaurant Pedro 'N Coi, and with a new business and a new baby on the way, Shamcey has a lot to celebrate. But since she and husband Lloyd have been busy hands-on entrepreneurs, Shamcey's birthday wish is to slow down and have more time for the family when their second baby arrives.
