Solenn Heussaff Is One Lucky Preggo: 'No Morning Sickness So Far'Solenn Heussaff shares the moment she found out she’s expecting!by Rachel Perez .
Not a week has passed since Solenn Heusaff and husband Nico Bolzico announced that #BabyBolz is coming soon. “We are in this together,” they wrote in their respective Instagram accounts. Solenn is now four-and-a-half months pregnant with their first child.
When she found out that she’s pregnant, the 34-year-old actress told GMA’s 24 Oras. “Umiyak ako, nag-hug ako kay ‘Pochola,’ kasi it’s just me and my dog at home.” Pochola is an American Akita, and one of the three Bolzico pets.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Nico was a thousand miles away, in Japan, at the time. To deliver the baby news, Solenn sent him a snapshot of the pregnancy test. The dad to be didn't know how to react since he was on a bus full of people!
Solenn’s pregnancy couldn’t have come at a more perfect time — their dream home is finally done, and one of her big movie projects had just wrapped up. Right now, she’s just taking it easy at work.
She’s glad that she’s also had it “pretty easy” in her first trimester, and has not had any cravings, either.
“I don’t feel super out of place in my own body, and there’s no morning sickness so far,” Solenn shared. Science says not all pregnant women get morning sickness, although some have it in extremes, too. Solenn is one of about 30 percent of preggos who are lucky enough to skip nausea and vomiting.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
She is, however, experiencing other typical pregnancy symptoms. The mama-to-be feels “busog all the time” and doesn’t fancy the taste of coffee now. She also finds it weird that she has a “metallic taste” in her mouth whenever she eats, a typical pregnancy symptom believed to be caused by fluctuating estrogen levels.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
The pregnant actress keeps on with her exercise routine which, she reveals in her blog, has gotten many people concerned, but noted that she’s used to receiving “a bunch of unsolicited advice from people who don’t even know what exactly I’m going through.”
“I have been very active for a lot of my adult life... because my body is so used to working out, it’s actually better for me to continue being active, minus certain movements and some ab workouts that will be uncomfortable for me and the baby,” she explained.
As for the timing of the pregnancy, Nico and Solenn are proud to say they didn’t give in to the pressure. Pinoy culture expects newlyweds to get into babymaking pronto, but the couple started trying for a baby in their own time and when they were ready, “not when books or the internet or our family or other people said so,” she wrote on her blog. Solenn said they even kept the news from her parents up until she was almost three months along the family way.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
“You don’t get to tap out of being a mom and a dad,” she said, stressing the “lifetime responsibility” of bringing a life into this world. On top of that, you need to consider factors such as “your health, the health of the baby you will have, your partner’s and your career, and the timing of it all,” she added.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
“Honestly, I am glad Nico and I started trying to get pregnant when we were ready,” Solenn admitted.
The social media influencer is sharing her journey to motherhood, but is steering clear of any baby showers, gender reveal parties, or the like. She’d rather keep it exciting by keeping a few things a mystery! For instance, her doctor already knows the gender of their baby, but she and Nico want it to be a surprise — they only want to find out when she gives birth.
