  • The Body Shop Campaigns against Sex Trafficking

    The Body Shop and ECPAT Philippines have started a campaign against sex trafficking of children and young people.
  • Be a Campaign HeroHuman trafficking is the third largest criminal industry in the world.  In the Philippines, 60,000 to 100,000 children are trafficked annually (through both cross-border & internal trafficking), and most of these girls are to be sexually exploited. The Philippines also ranks fourth in the world in terms of countries with the highest number of prostituted children.

    To help put a stop to this crime, The Body Shop is asking customers and supporters to become a Campaign Hero by picking up a Campaign Hero Pack at The Body Shop stores and collecting petitions and handprints from their friends, colleagues, school, gym, hospital, etc.

    Each petition and accompanying handprint collected will go towards the national petition, which will be presented to the national government in August.  To date, some 300,000 petitions have been collected.

    The Be a Campaign Hero will run from May 1 to 31 at these participating stores: Alabang Town Center, Greenhills, Glorietta 3, New Eastwood Mall, SM Mall of Asia, Robinsons Ermita, Robinsons Galleria, Rockwell, SM City, and SM Megamall.
