Your cell phone isn’t just for calls and texts anymore. With just that small brick-shaped device, you can browse the web, download files, watch videos and… take a pregnancy test? Well, sort of but not really.
A pregnancy test from the brand First Response now allows you to pee on your phone! Just kidding. The pregnancy stick test can be paired with a downloadable app that will provide you with anything from your results, test result-dependent content and services, and puppy videos.
“The product provides a unique, digital testing experience for women, aimed at helping to reduce stress throughout the testing process and the app offers an action plan based on the user’s test result,” describes the website for the product.

Once you’ve started your test, the app, synced to the test stick via Bluetooth, will instantly alert you and provide you with a bunch of services and material at your convenience. While you endure those 3 grueling minutes of waiting for your results, the app will attempt to soothe you with a 3-minute countdown and, calming sounds, photos and videos, including ones starring puppies.
During this time, it will also give you content about fertility and pregnancy, which we expect, will only either give you extreme assurance or extreme anxiousness.

Once your minutes are up, the results will be displayed on the test stick as well as on your device (only accessible via a security code). If you come out negative, the app can provide you with information on fertility and suggested next steps you should take like tracking your cycle.
It also keeps records of how many tests you’ve taken and what the results were.
Come out positive and it will tell you your estimated due date, track pregnancy milestones and your baby’s growth, suggest questions you can ask your doctor and send you reminders for prenatal appointments.
From finding out if you’re pregnant or not to reminding you of doctor’s appointments, this pregnancy test definitely wants to be your pregnancy BFF.
