One teacher was acknowledged for all the heart she puts into her job by getting to sit as a guest on The Ellen Show.
Sonya Romero, a preschool teacher in the U.S., asks her students everyday, first thing in the morning, if they've had breakfast. She also asks them if their clothes are clean, if they've brushed their teeth or they need to comb their hair. From that alone it's easy to tell that Teacher Sonya is doing something right.
Even more admirable, Teacher Sonya is a foster parent to two of her former students who have no one else to turn to. The principal of the school she teaches at describes her as the best embodiment for all the good things happening in their institution.
With all this in mind, Ellen DeGeneres decided to have her as a guest on her show, because obviously she deserves it. More unsung heroes like Teacher Sonya should be put on the the spotlight, don't you think?
