Footage from a security camera from inside a convenience store in the U.S., and reported here by "Inside Edition," shows how ordinary people can become everyday heroes.
Rebecca Montano, herself a mom-of-five, was working behind the counter when a mom with her baby approached to pay for their items. She immediately noticed something was amiss.
"All of the sudden she had a blank look on her face, and I sensed something was very wrong," she told ABC 7.
Montano, who had been trying to make the baby laugh, instinctively grabbed the baby from her mother's arms, just seconds before the mom fell on the floor from a seizure.
"I just wanted to save the baby from getting hurt. If she would've fallen with the baby in her arms, who knows where that baby would've landed," Montano said.
A week after the incident, both mom and baby are doing well, and the mom also went back to the store to personally thank the clerk who saved her baby. We hope for more people like Montano whose power of observation and quick thinking helped a mom when she needed it the most.
