UP student Tiffany Grace Uy, who made waves in 2015 for breaking the record for the highest general weighted average (GWA) in the history of the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman, is now a licensed physician.
Uy, who graduated in July as a Magna Cum Laude and the class valedictorian of UP Manila’s College of Medicine, ranked fifth in the 2020 Physician Licensure Exam (PLE) with a rating of 88.08 percent.
Her story went viral some years back when she finished her undergraduate studies in BS Biology as Summa Cum Laude with a nearly perfect GWA of 1.004. It is the highest grade in the history of the university since World War II.
