TikTok Says Its New Feature Makes The App Safer For TeensIt allows parents and guardians like you to keep an eye on your children without being intrusive.by Ana Gonzales .
Moms from our online communities often share that one of their greatest fears is that their children would fall victim to an online predator.
That's why most of them do not allow their children to use gadgets and go online without supervision.
Parents also turn to the security features of mobile applications to keep their children safe.
TikTok, earlier this year, released a new feature called Family Pairing. It lets parents like you link your TikTok account to your teen's to enable a variety of content and privacy settings.
"We've now expanded this feature to give parents greater oversight and families a more robust set of tools to create the TikTok experience that's right for them," it says on their website.

If your teenager likes creating content on TikTok, these Family Pairing controls will come in handy:

This allows you to decide whether your teen's account is private or public. If you set your teen's account to private, you and your teen get to decide who can see their content.
If you set it to public, anyone can search and view your child's content.
If you constantly worry about your teenagers' activities on TikTok, it's best to have a conversation with them about turning on the app's Family Pairing feature.
Apart from that, it's also important to teach your kids how to identify potential threats online so they know when to stay away and who to stay away from.
