The host and actress kept it classy when she responded to bashers who reacted to her Instagram photo of a weighing scale showing how much weight she had lost since giving birth to her and Paul Soriano's first child, son Seve. "I keep losing and Seve keeps gaining..." her caption for the photo reads, with the hashtags #breastfeeding, #pumpitup. The weighing scale reads 96.8 pounds, and according to two more hashtags she used, it's the lowest she's ever weighed, and that she needed to eat more.

Based on an interview on ABS-CBN's Magandang Buhay, netizens alleged that Toni is being vain and is more concerned about her body. She corrected this perception by saying that it's really about being physically fit for her baby, and not about vanity. Some of her social media followers have been giving her unsolicited advice to not go on a diet and to gain more weight, but many moms have come to her defense, saying that breastfeeding really does help shed the pregnancy weight. The adorable daughter of Kapuso 'Primetime Couple' Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes was only seven months old when she and her mom starred in a TV ad for a baby bath product, for which she received a hefty talent fee. While Marian didn't reveal the exact figure, she said Baby Zia received a higher amount than her or Dingdong. So where did the money go? Marian shared that they opened a bank account for their daughter where they could keep her earnings. "Lahat ng kinikita niya sa commercial, nandoon. UNICEF to build "one-stop shop" for children with disabilities

The children's international agency will transform the rehab facilities of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) into one unified hub, the first ever in the country to provide comprehensive services such as diagnosis, provision of assistive devices, counseling, therapy, and referral to specialists, all under one roof. Currently, PGH's rehab facilities are located far from each other, which makes going from one center to another challenging. There will be a total of four one-stop-shop hubs for children with disabilities (CWD) nationwide, each one costing P10 million to build. UNICEF says there are five million Filipino children who are living with disabilities, which range from hearing, visual and mobility impairment, to those with development or learning disabilities, and only five percent of the 1.5 million who need assistive devices like hearing and vision aids or prosthesis receive that support. The agency estimates that the hubs will help increase that number to five million, and will also help early detection, early healthcare intervention, and comprehensive disability services with the new PhilHealth benefit package. QC to distribute books on HIV education to students

Starting next schoolyear, the Quezon City (QC) local government will be distributing books that aim to curb the alarming rise of sexually-transmitted diseases, particularly HIV and AIDS, among the youth. Instead of condoms, the books will be given to 35,000 incoming Grace 8 students in public schools in June, to be covered in their MAPEH (Music, Arts, Physical Education, Health) subject. Last Monday, QC Mayor Herbert Bautista led the launch of the program to increase students’ knowledge on how they could prevent contracting HIV and where they can access health services such as HIV testing. "We have to acknowledge that some adolescents are into risky sexual behavior and this has been proven in various surveys. [This initiative hopes] to improve HIV education in public schools. We will teach students how they can prevent HIV infection and, if necessary, they will know where to access HIV services," Bautista said. (inquirer.net)
